Gimmicks

I am not a big lover of gimmicks. I hate it when people try to say something while they are sneezing. Like no one can tell what they are trying to say ~ yea, really, no one can tell what they are trying to say. There is a car commercial right now that the one guys says to give tires with the car and the other guy sneezes "Gimmick". Then the first guy says to have them buy one axel get the second one free and the other guy sneezes "Gimmick". I really don't like that commercial.
When I was little the one gimmick that sticks in my mind was the 77 Gas Stations gave out double horseshoes that were bright orange and magnatized. The saying to go along with these horseshoes was to get a "Kick" in the gas! This was a big campaign for the gas station and it lasted for a long time.
I also enjoyed sitting in the car and watching the colored balls go around in the gas pump window. Those were the days! Just another trip down memory lane with no gimmicks attached!

Day of Surprises

Today is one of those days when you say, "Did that really happen to me?" And the answer would be a resounding YES!!! Even if I could explain it all right now in words that you would understand, I don't know that you would really believe me.
I started the morning helping to arrest one person and by the middle of the afternoon I was doing a stake-out in my car, trying to catch another bad guy in the act. To top off all of this, in between I was running a legal BINGO game.
So like I said, I don't know that you would understand even if I were to draw pictures for you. Just know that I made it through the day and am looking forward to tomorrow and what challenges might come my way!
